Picc Line and
Midline
|
|
Arrow introduces a
new line of Midline catheters to complement the
Arrow PICC line.
|
|
|
Now, you'll find even more choices for easier venous
access with Arrow's new Midline catheter products.
Manufactured in a variety of French sizes, Arrow
Midlines are trimmable catheters designed to make IV
therapy more patient-friendly and comfortable. |
Features :
- Arrow PICCs make
vascular access easier on you...and your patients.
Arrow's comprehensive PICC line was designed to help
make peri-pheral catheterization to the central
circulation easier than ever before, offering
significant advantages to both practitioners and
patients.
Arrow PICCs simplify venous access, reduce vessel
trauma, and provide unparalleled indwelling
characteristics.
-
Minimize the risk of vessel
trauma and its complications.
Arrow catheters are made of
polyurethane, proven to be exceptionally
biocompatible, and gentle to vessel walls. Firmer at
room temperature (enabling, in most instances,
stylet-free insertion of the 4 and 5 Fr. PICC),
polyurethane softens in situ and is the catheter
material of choice in over 80% of the central venous
catheter market today.
We've added an extension line and clamp to give you
remote catheter access. This feature eliminates the
need for a stopcock or the use of the pinch method
to stop infusion or prevent air entry.
-
Reduce the risk of
catheter-related infection.
Venous access insertion sites can have a profound
impact on the incidence of infections.
Skin flora are typically much more abundant on the
upper torso and neck regions as compared to the
extremities.
Since a PICC or midline is inserted into a
peripheral vein, there is decreased risk for the
patient to develop a catheter-related infection.
What's more, the Arrow PICC is contained in a
peel-away contamination guard to help protect it
from touch contamination during insertion.
You can insert the catheter with gloved hands-no
forceps, no cumbersome rinsing of gloves.
-
Easier insertions from start
to finish.
Both Arrow PICCs and Midlines
are inserted through an introducer catheter which is
peeled away and easily removed once the catheter is
in place.
A sealed hub is designed to accept a Luer-Slip
syringe.
Centimeter markings along the catheter body help to
advance the catheter to the proper insertion depth.

The Arrow Midline offers an
effective, latex-free alternative for intermediate-term
IV therapy.
While the PICC is generally
utilized for long-term therapy, the Arrow Midline
catheter provides a practical alternative for
intermediate-length and selective therapies.
The Midline is notably shorter in length (20cm), and is
also trimmable. The peripherally-inserted Midline is
designed to help prevent multiple catheter venipunctures
(every 48 to 72 hours) associated with conventional,
short, peripheral catheters.
Choose from a variety of PICC and
Midline products to meet your needs.
No matter what your PICC requirements, Arrow can supply
you with precisely the right products. We offer
single-lumen and double-lumen lines, 3 Fr., 4 Fr. (both
available trimmable), and 5 Fr. sizes, Seldinger
Conversion Sets, and PICC Radiology Seldinger Technique
Sets with 80cm or 130cm floppy-tipped guidewires and
Echogenic Tip needle. Arrow Midline catheters are
available in kits and sets in a variety of sizes.
