Probes

X-Plore probe
The X-Plore probe is used on the surface of the heart/vessel, and transmits an ultrasound wave burst of a known frequency and length. Moving objects will reflect some of the ultrasound energy back to the probe. Objects moving towards the probe will compress the wavelength and objects moving away from the probe will increase the wavelength. The change in frequency can be detected by comparing the received signals with the transmitted signal. The changed frequency (Doppler shift) represents the velocity and direction of the reflecting object
.

VeriQ applies a pulsed Doppler, allowing the user to control the depth at which the velocities should be measured, and the sample volume, where the length is also adjustable.

Cardiac Output probes

In several cardiovascular, vascular and experimental applications there is a need to measure and monitor blood flow in locations where the probe needs to be as small as possible. For cardiac output measurements, the Transit Time probe needs to be small along with having optimal ultrasound characteristics to measure the sometimes turbulent flow in the aortic arch. Medi-Stim AS has therefore developed the Cardiac Output probes with a proportionally reduced probe head to cover these needs.
 

The Cardiac Output is like all of our PeriVascular probes delivered with the unique Flat Front Face Probe Design.

Perivascular probes

Medi-Stim AS has developed a range of PeriVascular transit-time probes for measuring blood volume flow for the surgical applications not covered by the sizes of the QuickFit probes. Optimal acoustical contact with the vessel wall is ensured through the unique Flat Front Face Probe Design. This facilitates validated measurements through an indicator on the screen - ensuring fast, stable and reproducible results.

The PeriVascular transit-time probes are delivered with or without a handle, and are available in sizes 6 mm - 21 mm. The probes come with a fixed slide that ensures fast and easy application of the probe onto the vessel without the use of a hemostat.

 

Precalibrated probes ensure a rapid verification of the graft patency before patient closure.

ClampOn & InLine probes

Medi-Stim AS has developed a range of probes for measuring volume flow in tubings. The InLine probes may be spliced into tubing to measure volume flow of blood or other fluids, while the ClampOn probes is designed for extracorporeal circuits where sterility is required.

The InLine probes for excellent linearity

The InLine probes come in a wide selection of sizes and due to very low offset values, good zero line stability and excellent linearity, the InLine probes are suitable for low and high flow conditions. Each probe can be factory calibrated for any kind of fluid and temperature and these parameters are stored in an electronic device in the probe connector.

The InLine probe is not recommended for clinical use.
