Basic description:
Self-expandable covered stent preloaded inside the
introducing set.
Indications: Dilation of esophageal strictures caused by
tumors and/or occlusion of esophago-respiratory
fistulas.
Contraindications: Strictures in the upper part of
esophagus close to the cricopharyngeal muscle.
Impossibility to pre-dilate the stricture to the minimum
diameter of 10 mm. Gastric volume substantially reduced
after surgery

Technical specification:
Stent is made of stainless
steel wire. It is covered with two-layer polyethylene
foil.
It is the world's first self-expandable stent which was
equipped with the antireflux valve . The 5cm long
proximal part of the stent consists of two segments
which should prevent its migration due to increased
radial force. The distal part of the stent is formed by
variable number of separated, chubby-shaped segments.
Both edges of the stent are provided with purse
strings with the golden markers . The strings allow
removal of the migrated stent.The middle marker shows
the border between rigid and flexible part of the stent.

with two types of introducing sets with low
profile:
Introducing Set equipped with the olive
tip catheter
The dimensions of the introducer sheath
are as follows:
O.D. = 6.6 mm; active length = 75 cm.
Olive tip catheter is provided with simple
mechanism allowing
detachment of the olive from the shaft if
necessary.
Detached olive passes through GIT by natural
way. |
