Basic description
SX-ELLA Stent esophageal (Flexella™)
Self-expandable partialy covered stent preloaded inside
the delivery system
Indications:
Dilation of esophageal strictures caused by tumors
and/or occlusion of
esophago-respiratory fistula particularly in the upper
and middle third of the esophagus.

Contraindications:
Strictures in the upper part of esophagus
within the distance of 2 cm from
the cricopharyngeal muscle. Impossibility to
pre-dilate the stricture to the
minimum diameter of 8 mm.
Technical specification
Stent is made of nitinol wire and has two flared
ends. It is covered by
plastic foil (both flared ends are uncovered).
Each end of the stent is
provided with the thread with golden marker.
Threads allow the stent
repositioning or removal.

adaptation according to the request of customer
(e.g. antireflux valve).

The dimensions of the
delivery system sheath are as follows:
O.D. = 6.6 mm (20F); active length = 75 cm.
Olive tip catheter is provided with simple
mechanism allowing
detachment of the olive from the shaft if
necessary (model 07 only).
Detached olive passes through GIT by natural
way.
The recommended guide wire which is not a part
of the set is ultra stiff, 0.035",
length 220 cm.
