Indications
Relief of the strictures/obstructions caused by malignant tumors affecting the rectum, the sigmoid or distal part of the descending colon as definitive palliative treatment or temporizing procedure prior to an elective surgery. The covered SX ELLA Stent may be also used for closing coloenteral and colovesical fistulas.

Contraindications
Enteral ischemia, suspected/actual bowel perforation, peritoneal abscess, severe ascites, severe coagulopathy, the tumor affecting the rectum below the linea dentata, allergic reaction to nitinol (nickel-titanium alloy).
