With over 100,000
procedures behind it, the Arrow
Peritoneal Lavage Kit allows you to
diagnose intraperitoneal injury safely
and simply by utilizing a percutaneous
technique.
The Arrow Peritoneal Lavage
closed technique is based on the simple
concept that the presence of
intraperitoneal blood indicates
intraperitoneal injury.
In this procedure, a
catheter is placed and a volume of
approximately one liter of normal saline
of Ringer’s lactate is instilled into
the peritoneal cavity and then
recovered. When this solution is
analyzed, blood content will indicate
intraperitoneal injury.
With the Arrow Peritoneal
Lavage Kit, this procedure can be
quickly performed as an accurate
diagnostic tool in the assessment of
seriously injured patient with blunt
abdominal trauma. This closed technique
is tolerated well by the patient and is
also extremely helpful in triage
situations. The kit includes everything
needed to easily and rapidly diagnose
intraperitoneal bleeding with increased
safety, reliability and convenience.
And, it utilized a “J” tipped
spring-wire guide for final catheter
placement making the older complication
— prone trocar technique unnecessary.
